A glove that delivers medical assistance for motorcyclists

 - 18/06/2020

French glove maker Racer has introduced an innovative new feature intended to save lives. Its mixed leather glove connects to the ID1 e-health solution, enabling the identification of any road accident victim, offering access to their medical files and appropriate first aid.

As a reminder, ID1 is an e-health solution that uses a QR code system to identify accident victims, ensure relatives are informed and provide easy access to medical records in the event of an accident. The service in France is supported by the Fédération nationale des sapeurs-pompiers de France (FNSPF).

The new Sprint ID1 glove features a unique QR code on its cuff. Users simply log on to the ID1 app in order to register, enter their health data (medical history, blood type, allergies, ongoing treatments, etc.) and list their chosen emergency contact. A translation feature also provides access to the data in several languages in the event of an accident abroad.

The product is available in various sizes (from XS to XXXL) with a recommended retail price of 109.95 euros.
