Five candidates, including 3 electric vehicles, for the title of "most beautiful car of the year"

 - 18/12/2020

The short-listed vehicles for the “Most beautiful car of the year” election are the Honda e, the Mazda MX-30, the Mercedes-Benz GLA, the Opel Mokka-e and the Skoda Enyaq iV. All that now remains is to see who the internet users will choose to take over from the BMW Série 2 Gran Coupé, elected last year. The winner will be announced on January 26 2021 at the ceremony held during the forthcoming Festival Automobile International.

Internet users can cast their votes from 3 December 2020 to 17 January 2021 according to criteria based solely on appearance and design via a bespoke site. The candidates are selected from saloon cars, MPVs, estate cars, coupés, convertibles and SUVs, whose retail price is less than €60,000. One lucky internet voter will be drawn out of a hat to win a car worth €30,000. In 2020, over 120,000 people took part in the competition.

The name of the most beautiful car of the year will be unveiled on 26 January 2021 during the festival’s Awards Ceremony. In light of the Covid-19 pandemic, this ceremony, which rewards the finest automobile and artistic creations of the year, will take place in a new format that has yet to be announced. The jury will once again be chaired by architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte. This year all the discussions and votes will take place entirely online as the most beautiful car of the year is the only prize to be awarded solely by internet voters.
