World Ducati Week 2016 celebrates the brand’s 90th anniversary

 - 06/01/2016

The 9th World Ducati Week will take place from July 1 to 3, 2016, at the Marco Simoncelli Misano World Circuit in Italy. It will give Ducati fans worldwide a chance to celebrate the 90th anniversary of this Italian brand, which is currently owned by German company Audi.

As happens every two years, the community of Ducati fans will meet up in 2016 to celebrate all the iconic models in the brand's history, as well as the new bikes that were recently unveiled at the EICMA Motorcycle Show in Italy, including the XDiavel and the Multistrada 1200 Enduro.

Anyone who attends the event will be able to relax in the "Land of Joy" in the Ducati Scrambler area. And you'll be able to take a spin round a track at the Ducati Riding Experience. The official Ducati MotoGP and Superbike riders will also be at the event.

The official program for 2016's World Ducati Week will be revealed at a later date. It will coincide with the company's 90th anniversary. Ducati's story began on July 4, 1926, when brothers Adriano, Bruno and Marcello Ducati and their father Antonio, founded the company Societa Scientifica Radio Brevetti Ducati in the Italian city of Bologna. It only began to manufacture motorbikes in 1946 (prior to that it specialized in parts for radios, calculators and cameras).

The last two World Ducati Weeks, in 2012 and 2014, have each attracted around 65,000 'Ducatisti' from 56 countries.
